What’s Involved
This week long programme will be run entirely online using live Zoom training sessions as a group. The sessions will also be recorded so you watch them back or catch up if you’re unable to make it live. There will also be a dedicated Facebook group for peer and mentor support.
We will also set you tasks to complete that will encourage you to put your new Instagram skills into practice and will push you to really make your brand stand out on the platform. You will get feedback from your mentor on all completed tasks to make sure you’re on the right track.
You will also get one 30 minute 1:1 session with your mentor which can be used to cover anything you’re struggling with in more detail or to work on developing your Instagram strategy.

- How to use Instagram Stories so your audience will grow to know, like and trust you.
- Creating Story Highlight Albums that sell.
- How to use Instagram Guides for your business.
Day 3
- Going Live on Instagram and how it can get you in front of a new audience.
- Why Reels should be part of your strategy and exactly how to use them to promote your business (without dancing or pointing!).
Day 4
- Understanding the Instagram algorithm.
- Running successful campaigns including giveaways, competitions and challenges.
- Working with influencers on the platform.
- Creating your own branded hashtags.
- A look at some useful tools that can help improve your Instagram strategy.

Meet your Mentor
This programme will be taught and mentored by the founder of Social Mums, Gemma Lloyd.
Gemma has over 15 years experience in marketing, working as an account manager in the UK’s third largest regional creative agency with clients such as Sky Bet and The Law Society.
In 2015 Gemma retrained by doing the Digital Mums social media management course in a bid to find a more flexible career to fit around her two young children. She hasn’t looked back and has since worked with a large number of parent focused businesses, some managing their social media long term and others on shorter term campaigns to launch new products or services.
She has also been running popular social media workshops in Tunbridge Wells, Kent since 2017 as well as 1:1 training sessions, equipping small business owners with the skills needed to take their social media to the next level.
Instagram is Gemma’s favourite social media platform and she’s proud of the community of followers she’s built on the Social Mums account over the last few years.

Please don’t worry if you can’t make all of the sessions live, you will get the recordings and you’ll be able to ask any questions you have in the Facebook Group or during your 1:1 session with Gemma.
We are limiting the places for the Intensive Programme to only 20 as we want to make sure everyone gets all of the support they need.
Places will be allocated on a first come first serve basis and you can book yours below.
If I can’t make the training live will there be a replay?
Yes. All of the live training sessions will be recorded so even if you can’t make them live you will be able to watch them back at a time that works for you. Plus even if you do join live, you can still watch back through the replays to go over anything again.
Do I have to be a mum to take part in the Programme?
No, most definitely not. Most of the social media experts who teach the Programme are mums, so we’re completely aware of the juggling involved in being a mum and running a business but this doesn’t mean you have to be a mum to join.
Do I need to run my own business to join the Programme?
Ideally yes. You will need an Instagram account to practice on throughout the training and that could be your own business account or a client account if you’re a Social Media Manager.
I’m completely new to Instagram, is the Programme right for me?
Yes absolutely, we go right back-to-basics in the Programme and will even help you set up a new business account if you haven’t done that already.
